I’ve found a life affirming book & yes, I really did just say life affirming

So when I started this blog I predicted I’d be writing about swish press events, red carpet ‘dos and celebrity encounters, and so far it’s been about reality TV, cake and aching limbs. I’m really sorry, you deserve better.

To be fair I have been at an event tonight – the ASOS White x Reebok Classics party. It was a very ‘cool’ event and I’m predicting the trainers will be a sell out when they come out on 11 September (mark the diaries!).

Anyway, today’s Daily Bayley is wild – honestly. Prepare yourself – it’s all about a book that I’ve read that is pretty incredible. Sarah Knight’s Get Your Sh*t Together. You might have read her other best seller: The Life Changing Magic Of Not Giving A F*ck.

book

Sarah is a self-proclaimed ‘anti-guru’ and she’s seriously LOLS – but also really inspiring. The front cover says: “How to stop worrying about what you should do so you can finish what you need to do and start doing what you want to do.” Hands up if that has your name all over it? It actually inspired me to set up this blog.

So how is the book life affirming? Well, last week I was feeling pretty stressed out with everything so getting this book came at the perfect time. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and I just needed to ‘get my sh*t together’. Now, 267 pages in, I feel like a different person.

But to become an all-singing-all-dancing Get Shit Done Ninja Sarah recommends nailing down the day-to-day; she’s all about setting goals, writing lists and prioritising.

Obviously I read that as ‘head to Paperchase to get a really chic To-Do List’. Do you like it?

It costs just £5 and now being a Queen of List Making has resulted in a whole new me. So yeah, anyone who loves a good self-help book needs to get involved. I’m now waiting patiently for Sarah’s third book, You Do You.
